A Walk in the rain

It was mid- summer, I was sitting by my window & thinking about the days gone by. I was very upset with the way things were going on in life. No friends were around & I was broke. Nobody was there to share what I was going through that time.

The weather was gloomy & sky had turned gray. It seemed it was going to rain that day. I was full of negativity. I had no idea what I was going to do. I had all day with me.

And all of a sudden it started raining like cats & dogs. The ambiance was changed now. I took my coat & left home, reached a park. The park which is usually full of people was empty because of the rain. The jogging track was filled with water. I walked aimlessly for about an hour. I stretched my arms & welcomed the pour. I was drenched in the rain. I was smiling for no reason. Then I danced like some freak. I rejoiced every drop of the rain. For the first time in my life, I enjoyed being alone. My mind was free from all the worries.

The pour seemed to have slowed down now. Then I took the road to return home. As I was walking down the road to my home, a thought crossed my mind that, I cannot change what had happened but life did not stop there. There will come a time when I will get what I deserve & no failure can part it from me. I ought to work hard for what I want & that’s what really mattered. 

I’ll never forget this day I said to myself. I looked up in the sky & thanked the almighty for making this life so lovely & magical. :)

RISKS AND RETURNS.

      There is a principle in finance that says, ‘Higher the risk one takes, higher is the return he gets’. This principle holds true in everyone’s life too. In order to enjoy the benefits of something, we have to pay price for it. Likewise, one attains success in return of the hard work that he puts in. A journey towards success is always full of hurdles. Moreover, it is not always possible to wait for fate to work for us. It is only up to us, to work for what we want in our life. Hence, for the changes that we want to see in our lives, we should always risk for doing what we believe. To risk is to grasp that opportunity that is waiting for us.

   

     Success never comes easily. We often fear to take risks because of the fear of failure. However, failures are the part of our life. Every individual has to face failure in his or her lifetime. Great personalities like Michelangelo, Thomas Edison, Henry ford, Mahatma K Gandhi also, had to go through hurdles in their life. Nevertheless, that never stopped them from working for what they believed. They emerged from the failure & gave their best work to the world. It always amazes me how these people get inspired by the storms in their lives. In spite of all the obstacles in life, they pursued their work.  Every obstacle would turn into an opportunity when we are ready to work harder & harder for it. Nothing in life is possible without hard work.

   One of my favorite teachers always said, ‘efforts may fail but never fail to make efforts. Always look at the people who stand high in spite of all the odds in their life. Never let any problem prevent you from making efforts for what you believe in’.

   I want to be the Michelangelo of finance, the Edison of accounts & learn from my failures the way they did. :)

Truth …they say…hurts a lot…

You wish to run away

However, you cannot…

Your own deeds beat you up…

Moreover, you get back what you give…

People who once were your strength

Now try to shatter your dreams…

As the things go wrong and people change,

You feel destroyed & wish to quit…

However, this is not the time to sit back and think…

You must get up and give it a hit…
