Rewind

We took the same directions to figure out this mess called life,

together,

Then, How did we end up on two different ends of the same road,

I wonder,

Hopelessly, I've been picturing a happy ending to our story,

even though that picture seems a bit blurry,

We've come a long way, from once being so close

to each other to mere strangers,

Is it that difficult to not lose each other with time,

to begin afresh and stick by each other's side?

If only, I could just rewind & pause,

the time that we almost had!

Last Words

As we decide to part our ways and move on with our lives,

I wonder where this life would take us from here,

No matter where we are destined to be,

My soul will always be bound by yours!

Quest

The Sky smiles, as I look up, begging for some strength,

I'm drowning in between my ambitions and inhibitions,

Still looking for answers, maybe I've been diving in a wrong direction,

I don't have a lot of time, As it is becoming impossible now to even breathe in here,

I'm trying, I'm trying my best to come out of this mess,

I know there's still a lot to be done in this little span of time,

So many miles to cross, yet I've to keep my spirit alive,

My quest is still not over, nor is my drive!

Poles Apart

She was a dreamer,
He was a realist,

She loved her imperfections,
While he urged to correct them,

Her eyes were always true to him,
While his insecurities did not believe her claims,

She thought he was her Mr. Right,
But he proved her wrong each time.

Dancing Soul !

Grey clouds, Earthy scent,
noise of the heavy pour,
all this at once,

Storm of thoughts is clear now
& my soul is dancing !!!

The Detour!

My heart was transfixed.
to the memories of our past,

Can't believe how it has left behind,
all the hurt that you've caused,

The mind keeps going back there, so often,
I don;t know why and how,
But I'm sure, I want to be in the now,

I no more want to revisit,
the loop of those dark times,

I'd rather take a detour,
from all the pain and lies.

Something borrowed

Not so long ago, a storm came knocking on my door,
It shuffled my life, to the core,

I whined for a while, seeing how things had turned around,

I lost almost everything,
Yet in the nothingness,
everything was what I had found,

Days passed and turned into years,
as I learned to dive through the storms of sorrow,
A little faith was all that I had to borrow. :)

Pursuit of dreams

Dreams, for which you are ready to risk everything and some more,

Dreams, that have the power either to make you or break you,

Dreams, that give you an adrenaline rush and a meaning to your being,

Ain't such dreams worth chasing?

Be my Dreamscape ! :)

Long chats, high-fives & crazy laughs,

freshly brewed coffee by our side,

With every sip of coffee,

we get lost into each other,

As the night passes by we try to gather

the broken pieces of each other's souls,

No judgements and no prejudice,

Just two people listening to each other,

It's almost dawn now & we are still

drowning in each other's eyes,

You're smiling for no reason while

counting the empty coffee mugs,

I realise how beautifully you hugged

my flaws & made me feel home,

All I want now is you &

I want you to be my dreamscape! :)

Don’t Quit !

Truth …they say…hurts a lot…

You wish to run away

However, you cannot…

Your own deeds beat you up…

Moreover, you get back what you give…

People who once were your strength

Now try to shatter your dreams…

As the things go wrong and people change,

You feel destroyed & wish to quit…

However, this is not the time to sit back and think…

You must get up and give it a hit…
